My Rumple
Finished and ready to wear! I love my new wrap, it feels great against the skin and it's very versatile. Perfect for spring and summer. It knit up very quickly and it'll go on my *to make again list* for sure. You can see more pictures in my knitting photo album from the site menu or just click on the thumbnail above for a larger view.
A wonderful surprise happened today. A gift just for me! Weekend Knitting by Melanie Falick. What a great book full of quick projects. 50 in all. The photographs are beautiful and so enticing. There are also some very yummy looking recipes like Sophie's Butter Cookies, Adrienne's Hot Chocolate and more. Can't wait to get started.
My stash is calling to me!
On the Needles
Silk... cool, soft and luxurious. That's what I have on the needles right now.
100% Silk Rumple by Hand Maiden Fine Yarns.
300m/100g
hand dyed - one of a kind
Yum, need I say more?
Well I could tell you what I'm making with it. It's the Bias Shawl Kit from you guessed it, Hand Maiden. I think the color is called Paris. Silk and Paris, imagine. Lovely! Champagne anyone?
The Popular Clapochet
Designed by Crochet Kitten the Clapochet has been the most popular shawl I've made. It was fun and easy and the results produced a beautiful versatile wrap that can be dressed up or down. The drape of the wrap is spectacular! I love it!
I chose 3 balls of Mini Mochi by Crystal Palace Yarns in color-way #107. Crochet hook size H or 5.0 mm. Finished size is 16" X 64". The only change I made to the pattern was to add one repeat set for the first sequence to give a little extra width.

Sharing with others
The first time I'd heard of Ravelry was when I was in a LYS asking about a pattern. The woman went to the computer and showed me several pages of all the items that people had made with the pattern I was asking about. I was amazed and so inspired! I couldn't believe there was a community so huge made just for us. At the time of writing this post there are currently 394,621 registered users. She gave me the link and told me it was easy to join.
It was the best thing I ever did to enhance my craft. So much inspiration and encouragement from people all over the world. I've made many friends and discovered so much more. Thank you Ravelry for enriching my knitting and crochet life!
You can find me there by clicking on the People link and typing in Naramoon. Hope to see you there!
